By sharing information – about contemporary craft & design with curators and collectors; about best business practices with makers, artisans, designers, and creatives, and making connections between these groups of people, I contribute to the growing, thriving world of fine craftsmanship and design.
Awareness, knowledge, investment, and opportunity are key to sustaining the success of the world’s craft & design industries. As these industries continue to evolve, they continue to draw attention from a global audience keen to learn more about them. At the same time those within the industry – the artisans, designers, makers, and organisations – are finding themselves having to develop the necessary business skills required to meet a demanding global standard and gain the visibility that will propel and sustain their creative businesses in a highly competitive industry.
Through a dedicated consultancy, I connect galleries, museums, retailers, collectors, and other cultural organisations with artisans, designers, makers, artists. I provide information, building awareness with research, articles, curation, and speaking engagements.
I also work with individuals and small to medium craft business owners seeking to start or grow a successful and sustainable fine craft business.
