1-to-1 Mentoring

For Crafters, Artisans, Makers, Designers, and Creatives
As you juggle all the things you have to do.

Do you ever feel like this ‘running a business’ thing is a lot like swimming in mud?

  • Perhaps too many ideas are making it difficult to be decisive and just get started, or
  • no matter what you do you feel like you’re still in the same place you were a year ago, or
  • you are having trouble positioning your craft in the high-end sector to enable you to charge the prices that reflect the true value of the time and care you put into your products, or
  • maybe you want to work with stockists but don’t know where to start, or
  • you find yourself spending too much time working in your business and not on your business, meaning less and less time to make.

Whatever challenges you are facing, you are not alone.

Whether you are thinking about starting or growing a craft business, we all face challenges on our entrepreneurial journey. And there are times when sorting through your thoughts with others can help to inspire the answers that create a much clearer and quicker path towards achieving your goals. This is especially true if you work alone.

What Difference would it Make If Your Path Ahead were Clearer?

Sometimes we get so caught up in the vision for our businesses that we can become blind to what those outside the process are seeing or can contribute. Opening up your thoughts, or letting someone into your business can be hard until you reach the point where the hours in your day are no longer enough to address all the things that come with founding a business.

And the more your craft business grows, the more important it becomes to recognise when true expertise is worth the investment. Expertise from someone who really knows the inner workings of your industry.

Get that insight right here

By sharing my personal and professional experiences as a maker, entrepreneur, and expert in the global fine craft sector, alongside the practical tips and industry insights that I have researched and picked up along the way, I bring specialised business experience, industry knowledge and a fresh pair of eyes to help you see things from another perspective.

So if you are serious about improving your business and need someone to talk through ideas, goals or strategies with I offer a focused 1-to-1 60-minute session, where you can ask me about the issue or challenge you are facing, and together we will come up with real solutions to the questions that you have.

KIND WORDS

“Just wanted to say a big thank you for your time and [for] breaking things down to me properly. I have taken a lot in from our call. I am still in awe…..the depth and wealth of your knowledge. Thank you so much for sharing.”

FAQ

Each session is up to 60 mins / 1 hr long.

All mentoring sessions take place online and are conducted via a Zoom or Skype call.

The session takes place online so you will need a computer or digital device, internet access and the relevant free video conferencing software. You will be notified of the platform to be used and a link will be sent to you when your session is confirmed.

I do offer a payment plan, of 2 x £120 payments please contact me to discuss the terms.

Each individual session is dedicated to one issue only for the reason that 60 mins allows us the time needed to focus and come up with the right-for-you solutions to the challenge you need help with. Should you have more than one issue you would need to book additional sessions.

Certainly, unlike coaching mentoring sessions can be booked on a need basis.

Absolutely! And good on you for doing what you can to give yourself the best possible start. If you are thinking about transforming your craft into a business, I am here to help answer and guide you through the questions you have about starting.

I understand that plans change, if you can no longer make your booked slot 48 hrs notification is required to arrange an alternative date or receive a full refund. Failure to contact me within this time will result in a 50% refund and on the day itself no refund.

A completed session is non-refundable. Should you be unhappy with the service you receive, email me to discuss and find a resolution.

NOTE: Making a client application enquiry is not confirmation of a session until payment has been requested and received.

how to work with ME

01. Fill out the client application

Complete and submit the Client Application form. Include as much detail as you can about the one problem you need help with and why. Once received you will be sent an email with some additional questions and information I will require to get to know you, your work, your brand if you have one, and the area you need help with. This is to determine if we will be a right fit.

02. Session accepted

If we are a right fit, your application will be accepted, and upon receipt of payment, a day and time for your session will be agreed and confirmed. Note: I am in the UK, so session times will be GMT. You will be sent some pre-session exercises to prep for our call.

03. After your session

You will receive a recording of the session, a notes summary of what we would have discussed, an actionable plan to help you move forward, and any relevant resources and links. A week or so after our call I will email a follow-up to check in with how you are getting on.

Does this sound good?

Then, let’s work together to get to the heart of what you need to do to flourish in your craft.
